Light of kindness

 

Who among us doesn't want to be the recipient of kindness?  None of us, I would venture to say, want to be left out.  All of us long to be on the receiving end of kindness.  

In the scriptures, kindness is often seen to be an attribute of God, as well as a requirement for those who would gain God's favor.  And, as in the case of the psalmist, requesting kindness from God is a common prayer.

Sadly, kindness seems to be lacking in much of daily life.  As people of faith, we can't do much to change the vast problems of our world.  But we can make a difference in the lives of a few by choosing each day to demonstrate kindness.
